‘The right choice’: Texas Instruments CEO on selecting Sherman for $30B semiconductor chip facility

While Texas Instruments CEO Rich Templeton said the company had other options, the city of Sherman emerged as the winner for a massive new plant that will be less than an hour from headquarters and manufacturing.

The proximity didn’t hurt.

“If you look at the location, we’ve got large operations down in Dallas. It gives us the ability to get great scale and great leverage in terms of engineering resources. (And) our suppliers can be in one place to be able to support it,” Templeton said…
